Congratulations to Dr. Ruth Mostern (History) whose The Yellow River: A Natural and Unnatural History (New Haven & London: Yale University Press, 2021) was awarded the Joseph Levenson Prize in the pre-1900 category by the Association for Asian Studies. The prize is awarded to "the English-language books that make the greatest contribution to increasing understanding of the history, culture, society, politics, or economy of China."
